Actress, Funke Akindele may be prosecuted today by Lagos State government for breaching the COVID19 lockdown rule.
National Infinity reports that Akindele, popularly known as Jenifa was arrested on Sunday by the police after she allegedly hosted a birthday party for her husband at her residence located within Amen Estate. Lekki.
She will be charged before Ogba Magistrate Court 1.
The prosecuting team will be from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Some of the dignitaries that attended the party included; Naira Marley, Rasheed Gbadamosi, a former Lagos state governorship aspirant among others.
The Federal Government last week ordered a total lockdown for residents of Lagos, Abuja and Ogun States to curb the spread of COVID-19.
