Dikko, ex-Customs CG dies

Abdulahi Inde Dikko, the immediate past Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, who ran one of Nigeria’s biggest cash cow like a personal fiefdom has died after a protracted illness.

Abdulahi Dikko, who hailed from Katsina State was the NCS boss from 2009 to 2015 and has been facing a probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as well as the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

The anti-graft agencies seized his house said to be worth N1.1bn as well as cars worth hundreds of millions of naira but for his illness, the late customs boss couldn’t be paraded in court.
