All Progressives Congress chieftain and House Leader of Nigeria’s 8th House of Representatives and a leading contender for the office of Speaker of the House, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila has reportedly converted to Islam.
Hon. Gbajabiamila, a well-respected elder in House on the Rock, a Lagos based popular Pentecostal Church was said to have dumped Christianity and opted for Islam in a move to strengthen his bid for Nigeria’s fourth-ranked office.
The House Leader, according to his confidants is now Muslim and there is nothing hidden about it. They added that he has of late been seen more at Islamic functions and visiting highly revered Islamic clerics.
Recently he was in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj and joined other faithfuls in prayer.
However, supporters of the politicians are shouting on the rooftop that one of his parents is a Muslim while the other is a Christian.
