Offa Robbery: Olofa absolves Saraki, seeks thorough police investigation

The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II,  has absolved the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki of any complicity in the robbery incident that took place in Offa, Kwara state on April 5, this year.

In a statement signed by his Principal Private Secretary, Dr Tajudeen Oloyede, which was made available to journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday, Oba Esuwoye called on the police to be alive to their responsibility and avoid sensationalism in the handling of the investigation into the robbery incident.
The traditional ruler, who also said that police should thoroughly investigate the incident, devoid of media trial and unnecessary and undue publicity, added that interest of the people remained in the law taking its course against those who unleashed mayhem and violence to prevent a reoccurrence.
