Ogun State governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun has prescribed the Rotary Club’s four way test as an antidote for a better relationship between leaders and their followers.
The governor made the observation on Saturday in his address as the Special Guest of Honour at the installation of Rotarian George Ikpekhia as the 16th ‘Hope’ President of Rotary Club of Maryland.
Gov. Amosun said his first contact with the Rotary Four Way Test was in 1983 when he first came to Lagos from Abeokuta as a young accountant who passes through Anthony Village where a signpost of the four way test was mounted. According to him, I read it everyday and I have seen its what one can even adopt as his personal way of life.
Gov. Amosun urged that it must be a lesson for us in this country if we reflect and ask: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendship? And Will it be beneficial to all concerned? before or after our actions, the society will be good and better for all.
Governor Amosun congratulated the Rotary Club of Maryland for its achievements in the outgoing year and urged the incoming President Mr. Ikpekhia who he described as a hardworking and selfless person to keep up the pace.
Describing humanitarian services as a worthy cause that everybody must identify with, Gov. Amosun pledged to identify with the Club’s Vocational Centre and the proposed Maternal and Child Health projects.
