Woman commits suicide inside MFM Prayer City

Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, a 41-year-old worshiper, has reportedly committed suicide inside the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City

The woman’s lifeless body was found been in a suspected suicide incident, inside the auditorium of the ministry located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The tragic discovery was made on Friday morning and reported by the Chief Security Officer of the church, Mr. Esiere Ekikere.

According to Ekikere, he received a distress call around 7:20 a.m. from personnel inside the auditorium, informing him that a woman was found lying motionless on the floor.

Upon arrival, the woman was confirmed unresponsive, with an empty bottle of a suspected poisonous substance—identified as “Sniper”—found beside her, indicating a likely case of suicide.

Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after. Photographs were taken for investigative purposes, and the body was subsequently moved to the morgue at Real Divine Hospital for autopsy.

Authorities have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Individuals familiar with the deceased are being contacted in an effort to gather more information that may shed light on what led to the tragedy.
