Tinubu declares nationwide security emergency, orders mass recruitment into Police, Armed Forces

The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared a nationwide security emergency and ordered additional recruitment into the armed forces. Nigeria’s secret police, the Department of State Security Service has confirmed the raid on the Kaduna residence and office of the terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu. Confirming the raid in a statement on Thursday, the Spokesman for the DSS, Peter Afunanya, said, “So far, appropriate security agencies have executed valid search warrants on Mamu’s residence and office.
