Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman, Dangote Group has denied giving N100 million bribe to former Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Rurum to stop the probe of Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. A situation that led to the speaker resigning his headship of the state house of assembly.
Dangote Group spokesman, Mr. Tony Chiejina said that: “The allegation has no foundation whatsoever and is an ‘outright falsehood. Aliko Dangote does not even know the embattled speaker, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, let alone being his friend as alleged by the report”
Besides, the former speaker also denied bribery allegation: “The story was just a fabrication, a tissue of lies and unjustifiable, because there was never a time I met with Dangote to discuss such issue, not to talk of him offering bribe to us.”
