Breaking: Parents protest shoddy arrangement and inhuman treatment at UNILAG’s Post UTME centre

The ongoing post UTME at University of Lagos, UNILAG, has led to a crisis occasioned by the institutions lack of proper arrangement and planning for the examinations.
According to an aggrieved parent who spoke to www.infinitylive.com.ng, “they invited over 10,000 Student to write the post utme exams, unfortunately no adequate arrangement were made by the school management. Parents and their wards were left in the scorching sun. Not even canopy and chairs were provided for by the university. Our children have been have subjected to all manner of stress about 11 0f them have so far collapsed and rushed to the hospital.
According to her, My son was scheduled to write his exams at 9.40am” and as at 4:15pm that she spoke to www.infinitylive.com.ng “nothing has happened” and to make matters worse, the School authorities, she said, are not saying anything. “Nobody has offered any explanation, even though we are suspecting it could be a server problem, they have not offered any explanation.
Parents and applicants were seen clustering around the UNILAG’s Direct Learning Institute, venue of the examination with most of them complaining of exhaustion as a result of the very hot weather while applicants from neighbouring states complained of fear of accommodation since they thought they were going to make a return journey.
All efforts to reach the the UNILAG authorities on its switch board telephone line found on its website were unsuccessful as calls to it were bouncing off.
