President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived at the Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport in Katsina around 1:48 pm on Tuesday to receive the remains and attend the state burial for the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nigerian leader was received by Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governors, Ministers, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, National Assembly members, and other government officials.
Others include ex-ministers, former governors, former and serving Senators, Chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; members of the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee and security officials.
The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State on Tuesday at about 1.59pm.
A delegation led by President Bola Tinubu, who arrived some minutes earlier was at the airport to receive the body of the late former President, which was conveyed by the Nigerian Air Force aircraft.
At the airport are governors, ministers, National Assembly members and other government officials.
Buhari’s body departed London in the United Kingdom for Daura, hometown of the ex-President, ahead of a state burial in his honour.
Tinubu received the remains of the former President in Katsina, ahead of his final interment in Daura.
