A former chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State and Special Adviser to the state governor on Politics and Inter-Party Affairs attributed the calmness in Ekiti state to maturity and a high level of understanding by the people as a result of the activities of the dramatic personae in the theatre of Ekiti politics now.
Awe attributed the relative peaceful atmosphere to inclusive governance style of the state governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who in his wisdom has been friendly with Ekitis irrespective of political lineages, cutting across business and professional class.
Awe described Oyebanji “as peace loving, atticulate and trusted to deliver and also regards himself as a servant of the people, who has come to serve and is creating the right atmosphere so that developmental programmes can have a fertile ground to grow.
According to him, Oyebanji has “extended hands of friendship to those who don’t see ‘eye to eye’ in politics and has brought everyone on board for the good of Ekiti.
Commenting on the ongoing massive endorsement of Gov. Oyebanji by various groups, trade association and professional bodies across the state, Chief Awe described it as a good omen based on the progress Ekiti State has recorded under Gov. Oyebanji
