Real reason Kayode Oso parted ways with Fayose

Contrary to the official reason cited by the Ekiti state government as responsible for the resignation of the Works Commissioner, Kayode Oso, sources in Ado-Ekiti have told National Infinity Kayode Oso’s main reason for quitting the government of Ayodele Fayose.
It was alleged that Kayode Oso fell apart from Fayose over money matters occasioned by accusations of greed levelled against the governor.
It was revealed that the two close friends parted ways when all efforts to pacify Kayode Oso to settle with Fayose and reconsider his stance to dump the government proved abortive.
The quarrel started about a month ago when Kayode Oso refused to oblige Fayose on the contractor handling the flyover project in the state.
It was also gathered that it was the same contractor who handled the flyover project that was appointed as the consultant against extant procurement rules.
Fayose and Oso were said to have bickered over the failed airport project in the sate which cost N250 million for clearing alone.
Oso was said to have travelled out of the country which caused the shifting of the flag off of the flyover bridge. When Oso didn’t come and the ceremony could not be shifted again, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of works had to represent Oso at the flag off held last week.
It was also gathered that Oso refused to address a press conference as directed by Fayose to condemn the DSS for allegedly invading the House of Assembly and inviting some members of Fayose’s government for questioning including Oso.
He refused and told Fayose it was the duty of the Commissioner for Information and not that of Commissioner for Works.
It was the Secretary to the State government who made a Press Release that Oso resigned on health grounds.
The Ekiti state government had on Wednesday announced the resignation of Kayode Oso as commissioner for works on health grounds.
