A video of local politicians at a meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party swearing to a traditional oath of allegiance to former Ekiti State governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose has surfaced online.
Present at the venue were the former chairman of the party in the state Chief Bola Olu-Ojo, former member of the State House of Assembly Hon Dayo Akinleye Maxima, Mr Mike Adeosun, Mr Segun Ademile, Mr Aniyikaye Michael Ayo, Mr Olayiwola Oderinde, Princess Oriade Adefunke, Mr Ayo Komolafe, Mr Michael Ojo, Mrs Yemisi Fajuyi, Mr Taye Olusile, Osalusi Niyi (Youth Leader), Oni Dada, Wale Owoeye, Dele Macauley, Mr Abiodun Olu, Kehinde Agbede, Olu Asiwaju, Adeola Adebayo, Kayode Olaleye and others.
The literal interpretation of the oath taken by each person was “If they betrayed Osoko Ayo Fayose, may the earth consume them.”
