The late Deji in his life time has had to dispel his own death rumours on two occasions that he travelled abroad for medical examinations

The 63-year-old first class paramount ruler ascended the throne about three years ago after his predecessor, Oluwadamilare Adesina, was deposed for committing sacrilege.

Oba Adebiyi Adesida’s three year reign was not without controversies. Pakace sources told National Infinity in Akure that the late monarch had a running battle with traditionalists in the town over his refusal to perform and accord some traditional rites.
