The Recovery Committee of the Bauchi State Government has clarified the controversy surrounding the vehicles collected from the wives of former Governor Isa Yuguda, saying that it has so far collected twenty five cars from the wives of the former Governor.
The Chairman of the committee, Air Commodore Ahmed Tijani rtd disclosed this to vanguard while reacting to media report by the media team of Isa Yuguda that said only the former governor handed over all government properties in his possession to present administration.
He said that the committee was not set up by the government to witch-hunt anybody, but to recover all lost and looted properties of the state government in tandem with its mandate.
Tijani said: “There were certain controversies surrounding the cars collected from the wives of former governor Isa Yuguda which the committee wish to clarify”
“We learnt that the former governor through his media team debunked that of the 22 cars, claiming that the committee lied. I want to state categorically that the committee has in its possession all the valid documents in connection with the retrieved vehicles”
“Currently, a total of 25 cars has been collected from the wives of the former governor. We collected seven vehicles from his fourth wife Hajiya Nafisa Yuguda which include a Toyota Camry L.G, Camry C.E, Land cruiser V.8, two Peugeot 406,Toyota Hilx and Peugeot 307″
For Hajiya Abiodun Yuguda, the committee retrieve a total of 10 cars which include a Camry L.G, Land Cruiser V.8, Peugeot 406, Peugeot 307, Peugeot 406, Peugeot 407, two Peugeot station wagon, a Toyota Hilux ford and a Ford Ranger Hilux”
“Five vehicles were collected from his fist wife Aisha and they include a Toyota Camry L.G, Land Cruser V.8, Peugeot 406, Toyota Hilux and Peugeot 504 station wagon. We also collected three vehicles from his third wife Hajiya Maria Yuguda, which include a Toyota Hilux pickup, Toyota Land cruiser V 8, and a Hondya civic, making a total of 25 cars collected from them”
