Gov. Tambuwal pledges support for Nigerian Army

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal stated this yesterday when he visited the army’s Brigade Command? in Sokoto.
He said the welfare and well-being of men and officers of all security agencies operating in the state is of topmost priority to the government.
Tambuwal said Sokoto state has benefited immensely from activities of the Brigade Command, adding that soon, the government and the army authorities will sign MoU to expand the activities of the command’s skills acquisition centre to include youths and women from all parts of the state.
He said the state government will complete the Water project currently going on with the Army Barracks, while accommodation, especially of youth corps members, will be provided to easen their burden.
The Governor commended the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Chikezie Ude for embarking on various projects within the barracks? despite the lean resources available, promising to assist where necessary.
General Ude, who took the Governor round facilities within the barracks, hailed the cordial relationship between the people and the ?army in Sokoto State.
He said as professionals trained to provide security, the army is willing and ready to assist the civilian population at all times.
