The Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has approved the appointment of nine Special Advisers three months after he was sworn in as governor for a second term.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Sola Gold, said the appointments were made to “strengthen governance and assist in the realisation of his administration’s development aspirations”.
He also said the appointments followed the State House of Assembly’s approval of Governor Ahmed’s request to appoint Special Advisers.
According to the statement, the appointees are Gobir Hassan Ahmed (Labour Matters), Aliu Gunu, (Local Government), Aanu Iniwoye (Agriculture and Rural Water Support Services), Musa Mohammed (Rural Energy Support Services) and Abdullahi Mohammed (Emergency and Relief).
Others are Amos Sayo (Forestry Services), Munzuma Abdulmalik (Environmental Services), Amusa Bello (Security) and Sulaiman Atolagbe (Legal Matters).
Mr. Gold congratulated the newly-appointed Special Advisers and urged them to approach their duties with dedication to service.
