The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose has frowned at some landlords in Ado Ekiti alleged of ejecting the Hausas from their houses and their property looted by hoodlums.
The Governor has therefore warned the landlords involved to desist, saying that he has instructed the law enforcement agents to arrest and prosecute any landlord or individual or group engaging in the act, saying it could ignite another crisis in the state.
The Governor said the Yorubas have lived peacefully with other ethnic groups from primordial time, pleading that such virtue should not be allowed to go away.
Fayose said that Ekiti State and Nigeria belong to all of us and we must not give room to disgruntled elements to jeopardise that unity.
He explained himself as the governor and father of everybody in the state whether you are Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Urrobbo, Fulani, Kaje, Nupe, Ebirrah, etc, because that they all voted for him to become the governor.
The Governor reiterated the determination of his administration to flush out criminals from the Atikankan Area of Ado Ekiti, saying that the area had been a hideout for the criminals. He would also give the area a new outlook
