A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused an application by Senator Buruji Kashamu to stop the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police from affecting his arrest and extradition to the US.
Justice Okon Abang today ruled that the application is incompetent, adding that the security agencies deserve to be served notice to show cause before the order is granted.
Kashamu’s counsel, Godswill Mrakpor , had asked the court to grant urgent hearing to the application.
He had informed the court that there are moves to arrest an transport Kashamu to the US to face drug-related charges.
The Senator representing Ogun East, PDP in the National Assembly alleged that a politician in the state, had authored a “politically motivated petition” against him.
