Solid Mineral Sector generates N2bn in 2016- Fayemi

The solid minerals sector in Nigeria added N2.0billion (about $6.56million) to the purse of the Federal Government in 2016. The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, made the disclosure on Monday while presenting the ministry’s 2016 scorecard at a session in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. President Muhammadu Buhari has finally resolved to reduce the number of aircrafts in the Presidential fleet in a bid to cut government expenditure. KWSG losses over N400m to illegal recruitment

Kwara State Government has lost over N400m since 2014 due to illegal recruitment of 516 employees by the State Teaching Service Commission. This is part of the findings of an Administrative Panel of Enquiry instituted by the state Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed on the illegal recruitment into the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission.
