A wild jubilation erupted in the House of Representatives among members of the Peoples Democratic Party over the defection of some All Progressives Congress senators this morning.
The members, led by the Deputy Minority Leader, Mr Chukwuka Onyema, are singing anti-APC songs in the lobby of the National Assembly building.
The House has yet to commence plenary for the day.
The Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, has just arrived in the chambers amidst the shouts of “Dogara”; “Dogara”; “Dogara.”
PDP Reps are hopeful there will be defections in the House too, heightening the prospect of the party regaining majority leadership.
