Men of the underworld struck in Orimerunmu, a town in Obafemi Owode Local Government Ogun State, killing Adebayo Akinwunmi, a software engineer with Ericcson in Nigeria at about 1am Sunday morning thereby terminating the life of a decorated ICT genius and a future leader.

Sources told National Infinity Magazine at the scene of the crime home of the Akinwunmi’s that the robbers numbering four climbed into the compound at about 1:30am through his unfenced neighbour’s compound and were struggling with their burglary door before the man came out and offered to open the iron gate for the invaders.
After gaining entrance, they were said to have demanded for cash, to which the couple replied were not available. The bandits allegedly carted away gadgets and other valuables before one of them allegedly went berserk and shot Adebayo on the his left side of his chest close to the heart.
Adebayo, a software genius, who only last year won the prize as the best engineer in Africa at Ericson and now a top ranking official of the company’s office in Togo was said to have died before he could get to the nearest hospital.h
The 42 year old ICT expert, described as an introvert and a perfect definition of a gentleman, was buried this evening according to Islamic rites.
