Anxiety as Tinubu, others awaits COVID-19 result

There is palpable anxiety as the results of the COVID-19 tests of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and some others with links to his late Chief Security Officer, Alhaji Lateef Raheem, are expected to be out on Monday.

Raheem, a most trusted and long-time security aide of Tinubu died on Friday at aged 51 as a result of complications from diabetes and high blood pressure.

However, the ravaging coronavirus is not being ruled out as the cause following which the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, carried out an autopsy on his remains and on Saturday tested his bereaved principal and others who may have come in contacts with him for the pandemic.

The test results it was gathered, are said to be expected to be out on Monday three days after the blood samples of those involved were taken by the NCDC.

“We are still awaiting the results. And as a precaution, all of us have taken the tests and we are awaiting the results as well.
