Again, COVID-19 claims another billionaire

Again, COVID-19 struck the circle of the high and mighty in the society as it claimed renowned businessman and society top shot, Boluwatife Akin-Olugbade.

The 64-year-old patriarch of the society and Aare Ona Kakanfo of Owu Kingdom, reportedly died today, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, after a brief illness traced to complications from COVID-19.

The late foremost corporate lawyer was reported to have fallen ill, after returning from a wedding ceremony on December 26, where he had served as chairman of the reception.

He was rushed to Paelon Memorial Hospital, Ikeja. He was reportedly discharged last week. However, by last weekend, he was rushed to one of the isolation centres in Lagos where he reportedly gave up the ghost.
