Amid the brewed mix of fear and optimism ahead of tomorrow’s governorship election in Anambra State, the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) last night cancelled the one-week sit-at-home order it issued across the Southeast. Obi Cubana released by EFCC after interrogation for money laundering, fraud

Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, has been released three days after he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged money laundering. The Anambra-born club owner, socialite and businessman who was arrested on Monday, was released on Thursday. The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed that Cubana had been released on administrative bail. “He has been released,” Uwujaren simply said in a text message. Ikoyi Collapsed Building: Death toll now 40 as Developer, Osibona, American bound Bob-Oseni’s bodies recovered

Corpses of the Managing Director, Fourscore Heights Limited, Mr Femi Osibona, and his friend cum business partner, US-based Wale Bob-Oseni, have been recovered from the 21-storey building that collapsed on Gerrard Road in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State. Their bodies were reportedly recovered on Thursday by rescue workers during the recovery operation at the scene of the incident.
