FG may ban train services -Amaechi

The Federal Government says it will shut down the Lagos-Ibadan and the Abuja-Kaduna train services should there be any case of Covid-19 detected among passengers, says Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transport. Amaechi made the revelation on Monday during an NTA live programme, Good Morning Nigeria monitored in Lagos. He said train users must comply with all Covid-19 protocols from the beginning of every trip to the end. ASUU reject FG’s plan to reopen Varsities

Branches of the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Sunday assessed COVID-19 protocols in the universities and said the institutions were not ready for safe reopening. The chapters of the union, in separate interviews with The PUNCH, commented on the directive of the  National Universities Commission that universities could resume on January 18, but must adhere to COVID-19 protocols in hostels and lecture halls.
