Again, Boko Haram hit Gov. Zulum’s convoy

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and his convoy were again attacked by Boko Haram on Sunday morning. The attack, which recorded no casualty occurred at about 10.30 am some two kilometers away from Baga while the governor was returning to Maiduguri. The convoy, according to some of the people who returned to Maiduguri on Sunday evening from the tour, was shot at by suspected Boko Haram terrorists. Shehu Atiku, the immediate past Chief Judge of Kano State High Court of Justice, who died on Sunday was laid to rest yesterday in Kano. The Public Relations Officer, Kano High Court, Baba Ibrahim Jibo, in a press statement, issued on Monday morning, confirmed the demise of the jurist. According to Jibo, the former CJ died of an undisclosed ailment. Court fines Senator N50m for assaulting woman

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Maitama, Abuja, on Monday, awarded N50m damages against the senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo, to be paid as compensation to a female attendant at a sex-toy shop, Osimibibra Warmate, whom he assaulted. Justice Samira Bature gave the order in her judgment on the fundamental rights enforcement suit instituted by Warmate against the senator.
