Pictures: 3 dead, houses, trucks burnt in Lagos NNPC pipeline fire

Three persons, including a minor, were confirmed dead in a pipeline explosion at Ile Epo, Abule Egba Area of Lagos State on Sunday. Many houses were also burnt when the pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation exploded. The pipeline fire was however put out by a combined team of firefighters and emergency responders. The Lagos State Government announced this in a tweet on Monday. Ganduje, Tambuwal win at Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Abdullahi Ganduje as the Governor of Kano State. Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abba Kabir Yusuf, filed an appeal at the apex court to dispute the March 24 supplementary election held in some electoral wards in Kano State. In a unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, the apex court dismissed the appeal filed by Abba Yusuf challenging the election of Governor Ganduje for lacking in merit.
