Sowore meets bail conditions, to be freed today -Falana

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), told the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, and his co-accused, Olawale Bakare, have met the bail conditions imposed on them in respect of their trial on charges of treasonable felony. Falana, who is their lawyer, said the defendants would be freed later on Wednesday. Balogun market burning building collapses, kills Policeman

The front section of a six-storey building gutted by fire on Tuesday in Lagos Island collapsed and killed a policeman at the scene reports the News Agency of Nigeria. NAN reports that part of the six-storey building located at 43 Martins Street, Lagos Island, collapsed around 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday as firemen intensified efforts to extinguish the inferno. The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna has nullified the election of the spokesman of the Senate, Senator Dayo Adeyeye. The ruling was delivered by Justice Uzor Anyanwu on Wednesday. Woman steals baby to justify fake pregnancy

A middle-aged woman, Falilat Olatunji, was on Wednesday, arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a four-month-old baby boy, to cover up her fake pregnancy.
