Yoruba/Hausa clash shut Lagos-Abeokuta expressway

One person was seriously injured and the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway shut down as Hausa and Yoruba traders clashed at Oke-Odo Market on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Sunday. Obaseki is dead

Former Nigeria Professional Football League chairman, Oyuki Obaseki, is dead. According to The Punch, Obaseki died at the age of 75 after a protracted illness in Benin City, Edo State on Sunday. TheThe football administrator, according to sources had been sick for over three years until his death. He was the second vice-chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation from 2007 to 2009. Obaseki is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Ogun Police rescue 3 Sallah day kidnap victims

The Ogun State Police Command said that it had rescued three persons kidnapped at Ode-Omi community in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the state on Sunday. A statement issued in Abeokuta by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the victims were rescued unhurt.
