The Nigerian Army has explained the circumstances surrounding the killings of three police personnel and a civilian during an encounter with soldiers in Taraba state. Describing the incident as unfortunate, the army, however, said a joint committee has been put in place to further investigate the matter with a view to preventing a recurrence in the future.
