The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday closed his defence before the state Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, after calling 30 witnesses. The tribunal is hearing the petition filed against his victory in the March 9 governorship election by the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Adekunle Akinlade. Breaking: Man climbs aircraft at Lagos Airport

There was palpable anxiety at the Lagos Airport on Friday when an unknown man carrying a bag climbed the fuselage of the aircraft. Abductors of the mother of a former Coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia, Mrs. Beauty Ogere have reportedly made a demand for a ransom. The gunmen, who reportedly called Siasia with a foreign number, were said to have demanded N70m to release the 80-year-old woman.
