An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan on Thursday granted bail to a ‘chief suspect’ in the March 9 murder of a serving federal lawmaker, Temitope Olatoye popularly called Sugar. Sugar, a member of the House of Representatives from Lagelu/Akinyele constituency, was murdered during the governorship and the House of Assembly elections. Appeal court affirms Oyetola As Osun Governor

In a split judgment of four to one, the appeal tribunal in the Osun State governorship election dispute has set aside the judgment by the tribunal sacking Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. Justice Jumai Sankey, who read the lead on Thursday, held that the election tribunal was wrong in its majority judgment authored by Justice Peter Obiorah, in voiding Oyetola’s victory.
