PDP crisis: Ex-Prez. Jonathan meets with PDP governors

Former President Goodluck Jonathan met with governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja on Monday night over lingering crisis in the former ruling party. The meeting, which started a few minutes after 6pm, was held at the office of the former President located at Maitama District. JAMB scraps awaiting results, includes 4th choice

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced that students will no longer be able to secure admission into higher institutions while awaiting their O’level results. JAMB said this was part of its restructuring in preparation for the 2017 UTME higher institution examination. This means candidates must sit and obtain the results of either West African Examination Council school examination, WAEC, or National Examination Council, NECO, before admission. FG evacuates 41 trafficked Nigerian girls from Mali

The Federal Government on Monday said it has evacuated 41 Nigerian girls who were trafficked to Mali for forced labour and sexual exploitation. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that six persons, alleged to be human traffickers, were also arrested and brought back to the country alongside their victims.
