Lt. Col. Satchie Etoromi (rtd), the estranged husband of the former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, has revealed that he suspected foul play in the death of his son, Maxwell Toritseju Etoromi. He said that controversies surrounding his death would be investigated and urged the appropriate security agencies to take up the matter. Siblings of the Governor of Adamawa State, Mohammed Umaru Jibrila Bindow, have dragged the governor before President Muhammadu Buhari and the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs over alleged moves to convert a large chunk of the estate of their late father, Alhaji Umaru Jibrilla, to himself. The Obafemi Awolowo University conducted their matriculation ceremony today, matriculating 7500 students at the Institution’s renowned Oduduwa African Amphitheatre. Miscreants, rats and rodents take over Alams N2bn Hotel in Abuja

Almost seven years after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) handed over the N2.8billion Chelsea Hotel to the government of Bayelsa State, the hitherto money-spinning edifice is rotting away in Abuja. The hotel was seized from the state’s first civilian governor, the late Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. A Federal High Court, Lagos in 2007 ordered the forfeiture of the hotel by Alamieyeseigha after the ex-governor was sentenced for corruption.
